Scissor Films is looking for a part-time Conform Editor to join our team! If you're in the LA/Burbank area and have the desire to join our team working with top brands/artists, please send your resume or reel. We're looking to hire this position as soon as possible! An ideal candidate will have familiarity with motion picture camera formats, resolutions, frame-rates, and codecs. This role is responsible for conforming high resolution picture elements per the client provided metadata and reference media.
Job Description
- In-depth knowledge of various software platforms including but not limited to DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, and Autodesk Flame; DaVinci preferred.
- Responsible for conforming projects with original camera footage, VFX, and graphic elements based on client-supplied turnover materials (Avid bins,
- Premiere projects, etc.)Responsible for VFX drop-ins and editorial support for DI as well as occasional client sessions for QC and VFX reviews
- Assume responsibility for technical accuracy of conform
- Work with Color Assists and Engineers to ensure smooth sessions for Colorists
- Communicate project developments, issues, and timeframes with project manager
- Requires exceptional attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the post-production process, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of DaVinci Resolve
- Demonstrated knowledge with Adobe Premiere and other NLE software
- Visual effects capabilities (dynamic speed changes, repositions, clean up, titling etc.)
- Advanced understanding of professional audio/video standardsMac, Windows, and Linux OS proficiency
- Ability to interact with clients and perform quality work under deadline pressure
- Perfect communication skills and the ability to work closely with the team to reach our common goalAlways punctual and reliable
- Detail-oriented, quick learner, and self-starter
We are located in Burbank. This is an in-office, part-time position as needed for projects.
