It was a great pleasure to work with Kylie Jenner and director Jora Frantzis on the launch of Kylie Baby. This project posed unique challenges because we relied solely on CGI as it was shot fully on green screen with zero practical elements. We custom built all of the environments, models, assets, and simulations to match Jora and Kylie’s vision.
The CG environments needed to give a dreamy feel while also looking photo real. We were able to achieve this with our team after numerous iterations of simulations, lighting, and compositing. We had created over 100 custom models and assets to execute this spot perfectly.
All of the ground that our talent was walking on had to be turned into water and reflect the environment around it. We had to simulate all of the water within this project to achieve the photo realness and overall look that our client requested. Despite these challenges, our team was able to fulfill our client’s vision and create a visually stunning commercial which you can watch the VFX breakdown for below:
